March 26, 2007 - Jan Berry Memorial

Again we took this solemn day to remember what Jan’s life means to each of us. He gave us inspiration, innovation and some of the greatest music ever recorded.

This year, I wore my Aloha shirt, shorts and lei. Jan’s tree is maturing into a lovely symbol of Jan’s spirit. And as he matures, his spring clothes become even more spectacular to behold.

Again, I could almost feel Jan’s presence as I reflected on his life and how Jan & Dean and their music have touched my life. The songs of summer played in the background and the early spring sun shone brightly through breaks in the storm clouds.
